Privacy NoticeAston Merrygold’s wife Sarah Richards’ stunning wedding dress featured a sweet hidden message for the JLS singer. Dancer Sarah had some special words stitched into the huge train of her beautiful veil, with the embroidery done by her bridesmaid Louise. Mum-of-two Sarah wore a white strapless gown from Dana Harel and the veil read: “You will always be my forever”. Aston and Sarah, who are parents to sons Grayson, four, and Macaulay, two, tied the knot last month at the historic Palm House in Liverpool’s Sefton Park. Just the sight of Sarah reduced Aston, 34, to tears as she was escorted down the aisle by her brothers Jason and Matt, who also shed tears.

Sarah continued of seeing her husband at the end of the aisle: “I’m such an emotional person and I cry all the time, but I just had this overwhelming feeling of happiness. “I got emotional on the way there but I was like, ‘No, suck it up – keep the mascara on,’ and my brother Matt was getting emotional so I felt I had to hold it together for him. “When I saw Aston it was pure joy. I don’t even remember seeing many of our guests’ faces, I just felt smiles and could see Aston. Getting to him was the best bit. He looked amazing.”
Aston and Sarah’s big day was a long time coming

The big day had been a long time coming, with the couple getting engaged on Christmas Eve in 2017. “We just couldn’t find the right venue, that was the main thing,” said Sarah. “We found a lovely venue in Norfolk to get married last year and provisionally booked it as we couldn’t go to actually see it because of Covid, but then when we did see it, something didn’t feel right. “Then we found a venue in the Canary Islands, but we just weren’t sure about all the travel so we had to change things again.

“One night we had the worst night’s sleep we’ve ever had since having children and I was on the floor of Macaulay’s room and I was looking at venues and the Palm House came up. “There was something about it I just loved and when we went to see it the vibe felt right. They said there were no dates for this year, but we didn’t want to wait another year, especially as it was our 10th anniversary a few weeks ago. “Luckily they worked their magic and managed to find us a couple of free Sundays.” READ NEXT: Aston Merrygold confirms JLS won’t make new music: ‘It’s nice to have freedom’ Inside Marvin Humes’ 37th birthday including surprise balloon display at stunning family home Everything you need to know about Oritsé Williams’ fiancée Kazz Kumar For exclusive OK! video house tours, wedding videos and baby reveals head to our YouTube page For the latest showbiz exclusives, sign up to our daily OK! newsletter Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
