Privacy NoticeBritain’s Got Talent rounded off a busy week of semi-finals on Friday night as the last two acts who will be performing in this weekend’s final were confirmed. But some fans weren’t happy with the acts who made it through, even branding the show a ‘fix’. The episode on 31 May saw comedian Alex Mitchell and magician Trixy each land a place in the final, with the latter given a place by the judges after Alex received the most public votes so automatically moved through. However, some didn’t agree with the judges’ decision and speculated that Trixy’s magic tricks weren’t so magic. The act saw him ask the judges; Bruno Tonioli, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell, for a variation of numbers, while he also asked hosts Ant and Dec for a random six digit number. Adding the numbers together on a calculator, and instructing the audience to do the same, Trixy then pressed the equals button to reveal the number 315, 823. He read it out at exactly 8.23pm on 31 May.
Many fans have speculated that magician Trixy, who the judges sent to the final, had involved Dec in his trick to make it believable

But accusing host Dec as being ‘in’ on the trick, one viewer wrote to X: “Trixy, it’s not magic when Dec is in on it giving the specific number that’s needed to make today’s date. Old trick using a specific app to give you the number needed.” Another shared: “Trixy for example, that wasn’t actual magic. its numbers (which dec had an earpiece in for).” While a third suggested: “It’s a simple trick… Dec is in on the act. He is fed the 6 digit number in his earpiece to make the trick work so final total is 315823.” As some were unhappy with Trixy’s act, others were left laughing as the magician appeared to expose Alesha for not performing live on the show. As well as being a judge, Alesha was the semi-final’s celebrity guest and performed later in the show.

But just 20 minutes into the show, and before she had taken to the stage, Trixy said: “Alesha, loved your performance by the way,” as the judge giggled and replied: “Thank you”. This led to many fans speculating that the performance must be pre-recorded for Trixy to already have seen it. One viewer wrote to X: “Obsessed with Trixy outing Alesha for prerecording her “live” performance”. A second wrote: “So Alesha ain’t performing live then”. Also in the final alongside Trixy and Alex are; Ghanian dancing duo Abigail & Afronitaaa, Japanese skipping group Haribow, Magician Jack Rhodes, Northants Sing Out, Singer Sydnie Christmas, Singing impressionist Mike Woodhams, South African opera singer Innocent Masuku and South Korean taekwondo group Ssaulabi Performance Troupe.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
