I checked out Hotel Chocolat’s new Christmas selection (Image: Faith Richardson) There’s no Christmas without indulging in some chocolatey treats, and Hotel Chocolat is my go-to place every year for gift shopping. Be it a small stocking filler, a grand addition to the pile of presents, or an advent calendar (this one might be just for me), it’s a must-visit for my Christmas shopping. As the festive season is fast approaching, I had a sneak peek at Hotel Chocolat’s Christmas collection this year, and four items immediately made their way into my shopping bag. My top picks included a luxury advent calendar, two boxes perfect for stocking stuffers, and some cute Christmas crackers for my table setting this year that have already got me eagerly waiting for December to enjoy them. There are 24 mega-sized doors to open on the Grand Advent Calendar

This is the largest and most expensive item on my favourites list, and whilst it might seem like a splurge, trust me, it’s worth every penny both in terms of value and the sheer joy it will bring me as I open each door daily. With 24 doors to open, and let me tell you, these are not small doors. Each one is generously sized and packed with treats from all over Hotel Chocolat’s chocolate range. You’ll be treated to chocolate slabs, individual filled chocolates, sachets of the brand’s signature hot chocolate, mini crackers and even a couple of bottles of velvetised cream liqueurs. Many of the flavours are inspired by Christmas, too, including salted caramel, mulled wine, gingerbread and champagne. This is a mega-sized advent calendar, and feels luxurious enough to make the price tag well worth it in my opinion. Mini Chocolate Christmas Crackers, £19.95 If you’re tired of the usual contents of your Christmas crackers, these Hotel Chocolat mini ones are the perfect way to give your Christmas dinner table setting an upgrade. You get 10 in a box, although you can buy smaller sized boxes if needed, and each one contains a festive chocolate treat. There’s even space to write your guests’ names, so they can double up as place settings too. Although they’re ideal for your table, their small size also makes them perfect for decorating your tree with instead, so you can help yourself throughout the lead up to Christmas. Christmas Chocolate Supernovas Salted Caramel, £5.95 Ok, I’ll be honest, these didn’t even make it to the photoshoot for this article. I couldn’t resist diving into them, but that does mean I can vouch for their absolute deliciousness. They’re the ideal size for a stocking filler, and their budget-friendly price makes them a top pick for secret santas too. You get five chocolates in the box and they’re a good size, making them perfect for a little evening treat as I can personally confirm. Although the salted caramel filling gets my highest praise, if it’s not your preferred flavour you can also choose from a variety of other flavours, including champagne, coffee, praline and dark chocolate. A Waddle of Penguins Chocolate Penguins Gift Tin, £12.95

These were just too cute to leave behind, and have definitely earned a spot on my must-have list. Delivered in a keepsake metal tin, the Waddle of Penguins gift set is a beautiful stocking filler for children and adults alike. It’s the perfect size to slip into a stocking or give as a smaller gift, and contains nine individually wrapped penguin-shaped chocolates filled with gooey caramel. Rather than being simple chocolate moulds, the penguins each sport brightly coloured yellow wellies which adds an extra adorable touch. You can even repurpose the tin once you’ve finished the chocolates to store anything from craft supplies to Christmas decorations for next year, reports the Mirror. It’s not just Hotel Chocolat that’s revealed it’s festive chocolate either. Cadbury has also unveiled its Christmas chocolate range, all set to fill your cupboards in time for the holiday season. From classics like tins of Roses and selection boxes to winter-themed chocolate bars and goodies, we’re already beginning to feel the Christmas cheer.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
