However, other social media users took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to tease the potential complaints that Amanda’s look may receive. “Wonder how many complaints there will be about Amanda’s dress tonight? #BGT,” wrote one. Another added: “Cue the few complaints about Amanda’s attire..” Back in 2017, Amanda sparked 663 complaints to Ofcom when she sported an £11,000 Julian McDonald dress, which exposed some of her chest and stomach. Looking on the dress, as well as the backlash it got, Amanda explained: “That dress was hysterical it was Julien Macdonald.

“I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together. But, look, I’m from a small-chest family, plus you know I’m 48 years old. It’s all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about. It’s been called another national crisis but, oh no, I will not be covered up.” Meanwhile, Amanda has also hit back at people who take the time to complain about her outfit choices. In an interview with Tyla she said: “I dress for myself and I’ve always dressed for myself and I really enjoy fashion and I’m okay with it is all I’ll say.

“I don’t lose any sleep over it and I never set out to offend anybody. But I think these days you’re unable to not offend – there’s no way of winning. So you have to stay true to yourself and wear what you want.” Elsewhere a source told OK! that Amanda’s learnt to rise above any criticism about her appearance or choice of outfits. “She’s so empowered and confident, and a softie at heart,” they told us. “She feels good about herself and wants to show off her body, and she’ll stick the middle finger up to the trolls because she’s such a headstrong and empowered woman. She’ll never stop wearing raunchy outfits.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
