Privacy NoticeDoctor Who star Jenna Coleman, currently starring in gripping BBC crime drama The Jetty, is expecting her first child with her director partner, Jamie Childs – playing detective Ember Manning, who investigates the link between a local sex offender and a missing persons cold case after a fire burns down a boat hut in her Lancashire hometown. And the 28 year old has another surprising connection to one of the channel’s biggest shows, Strictly Comes Dancing – her baby daddy to be once directed a Strictly Come Dancing advert. In the slick video, shot in an elegant ballroom to the tune of David Bowie’s Let’s Dance, former Strictly judge Darcey Bussell can be seen hitting the dancefloor, taking it in turns to be waltzed around the room by late Head Judge Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.

It is believed Jenna and Jamie, 35, first met when they worked together on the Netflix series The Sandman in 2020, after Jenna was cast in a recurring role = before crossing paths a second time when Jenna had a starring role in Jamie’s debut feature film, Jackdaw, released in January this year. The pair sparked wedding rumours after Jenna was pictured wearing a chunky gold band on her wedding finger – but she has since been pictured without the ring.

The two lovebirds, who are believed to share a townhouse in London, made a rare public appearance together when they attended the Wimbledon Tennis Championship. And, while Jenna hasn’t publicly opened up about becoming a mum, she has said she loved playing one in The Jetty, as she spoke about her “natural” relationship with on-screen daughter Ruby Stokes, who plays Hannah. “Ruby’s an amazing actress, so it just felt very natural,” she said. “It’s such an interesting mother-daughter relationship because I have a friend with a daughter who she had when she was 18. There’s that line between being friends but also sometimes you have to pull the mum card.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
