Privacy NoticeSacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher’s divorce announcement has been branded “weird” by fans online. The actor and actress, who have three children together, revealed that they filed to end their marriage at the end of last year, after 20 years together. They met in 2001 and got engagement in 2024, before getting married in March 2010, in an extremely private ceremony in Paris. Speaking about starting their relationship, Sasha previously said: “She was hilarious. We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party.” In the The New York Times interview he added: “I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did.” Sharing the news by posting a picture of themselves wearing tennis whites on Instagram, they wrote: “After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down.”

We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.” After sharing the announcement people took to X, formerly known as Twitter, branding the comical statement “insane.” One person said: “Weirdest way to announce a divorce ever.” Another agreed: “I can’t believe this is the way they chose to [announce] it.”

The news of their split comes after Rebel Wilson last month named the actor who she dubbed an ‘a**hole’ in her new memoir, Rebel Rising, as Sacha Baron Cohen, blasting that she refuses to be ‘silenced’ by the Ali G actor in a new Instagram Stories post. In a statement given to The Independent, Baron Cohen’s representatives denied Wilson’s claim, stating: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.” Follow OK! on Threads here: https://www.threads.net/@ok_magStory SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
