Privacy NoticeLinda Nolan, who found fame with her siblings as a member of The Nolans, is determined to enjoy every moment she has left and treasure the time remaining with her loved ones. The 65-year-old has been living with incurable secondary breast cancer since 2017, and it has now spread to her brain. Despite the prognosis, Linda is determined to live her life with purpose, and last week made an “especially generous” gesture to her sister Denise Nolan, 72, at her wedding to Tom Anderson, 77. The couple, who have been together since meeting in London almost 50 years ago, married by the iconic Blackpool Tower on Monday, 17 June. Linda helped her sister plan the long-awaited wedding of her dreams by covering a significant chunk of the cost – and for Denise’s wedding bouquet.

“It was such an emotional experience for all of us, it felt like a fairytale come true,” Linda told OK! afterwards. “With everything that’s happened in my own life, moments like these become even more precious. We’ve always been each other’s pillars of strength, but that day, the joy and love in the air were palpable.”Watching Denise walk down the aisle, knowing all the years of love, trials, and triumphs she and Tom have shared, brought tears to my eyes. We’ve faced so much together, and being there with my sisters, celebrating such a beautiful union, made me feel deeply grateful for the bond we share.” Denise’s wedding bouquet, which included yellow roses and freesias to match her long yellow-sequined dress, was also gifted to her by Linda, who now lives with Denise and Tom, 77, in their Blackpool home. Denise said it meant the world to her that Linda wanted to support her and Tom so much.

“The family are all very generous but Linda is especially generous,” she told OK!. “Please God she’s not going to leave us any time, but I think she feels, with her incurable illness, that she wants to help out when she can. “When we arrived at Festival House I realised we’d forgotten the flowers that Linda had paid a fortune for, and I thought she’d be so hurt if I didn’t walk down the aisle with them – so my poor brother had to rush back and get them!” Linda and Denise’s sister Coleen Nolan also attended the special ceremony, and was joined by her boyfriend Michael Jones on the dancefloor later in the day.

For Linda, seeing her family in their element was the icing on the cake. “Life is unpredictable and often tough, but moments like these, surrounded by those we love, make it all worthwhile,” she said. “It was a day filled with laughter, tears, and memories that I will cherish forever. It was a reminder of the power of family, love, and the incredible journey we’ve all been on together. Given they’d waited so long to get married, Denise says she and Tom wanted to make sure their special day was all about making memories with their nearest and dearest.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
