Privacy Notice Former Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes recently got married in a stunning ceremony. But, the reality star, model and aesthetic practitioner, 36, has revealed that she actually changed her wedding dress at the last minute… because another star had worn the exact same dress. One of every bride’s biggest fears, Chanelle shared that she altered the dress to a different design right before the wedding, picking it up just the day before the big day. Chanelle married accountant husband Dan Bingham in July, with an intimate wedding with 110 close family and friends at The Northorpe Barn in Yorkshire, two years after they got engaged.

Now, Chanelle has revealed that she had off-the-shoulder tulle sleeves added to the dress as well as a dainty belt with a bow, after she saw another star wearing an identical gown. Originally, it was completed by spaghetti straps with its beautiful beaded corset. The star revealed the behind-the-scenes change on Instagram with before and after pictures of the dress, writing: “So I never told anybody this outside of my family and bridesmaids. My wedding dress had to be emergency changed weeks before my wedding because another lady in the public eye wore the identical dress to me for her special day.” “I did not want the “who wore it best?” type polls and nonsense because each of us had our perfect days and that’s not fair.”

“The dress was altered from Version A: spaghetti straps with no belt to Version B: off the shoulder tulle sleeves with a belt at the bottom of the corset.” “Personally I think the altered Version B was more suited to me and I’m so glad fate intervened and made me have these alterations made. Now I open the floor to you guys… which version do you prefer for me??” Fans were quick to speculate who might have also worn the original design, commenting: “Anyone else just want to know who the other lady was?!”

To say ‘I do,’ Chanelle paired the beautiful dress with an elegant white veil and embellished hair accessory. Speaking to OK! exclusively about the special day, Chanelle said : “The wedding focused on love and on family, which is exactly what we wanted,” Of her dress, she added: “It’s covered in sparkles and pearls, and I never thought I’d like that. I thought I’d have something simple, but ended up going for the complete opposite.” “I only visited one shop – Love and Cherish Bridal Boutique in Ossett – and I think it was the fifth dress I tried on.
