My eyebrows are naturally light in colour and often they ‘disappear’ on cameraIf you had to pick one makeup to wear, what would it be? Many people would opt for mascaras and lipsticks because they make your eyes look bigger and add a pop of colour to your pout. But for me, it has be to something for the brows. I am a light-brow girl and I struggled to find the perfect eyebrow product since I finished my trusted Shu Uemura H9 eyebrow pencil that’s sharpened in the shape of the iconic Japanese blade. My eyebrow hairs are lighter than my actual hair and it’s worse on camera, they just disappear. My quest to find products – whether it’s a gel, a pen or powder – to achieve natural-looking, fuller and thicker brows has been going on for years, until now and the solution is from another Japanese makeup brand, Suqqu. To create a nice brow shape, I use the 3D Control Eyebrow Palette, £40, which is available in two colours – sand and black brown, and it comes with a double-ended brush for application. The taupe, dark brown and black colours on the palette are handy for me to mix the perfect shade to match my eyebrow hair. It also gives a more natural look as opposed to solid colour-blocked brows.

The small compact is great for travel, it saves lots of packing space and I can easily fit it in my makeup pouch. It might seem a bit expensive for an eyebrow products but you only need a tiny amount each time so a little goes a long way and you are getting three colours at once, that’s roughly £13 for each colour which works out cheaper than getting a single colour eyebrow product. I have used Benefit’s Brow Zings Pro Palette before but found it too big in size and I only dabbled between one and two colours.

Another product that I enjoyed using from Suqqu is their Colouring Eyebrow Gel (£25), a no-clump quick-fix to tame and lift my brows in seconds. It holds the shape without the “glued on” feeling and of course, it comes with different shades so you can match it with your natural hair. Bobbi Brown’s Natural Brow Shaper (£24) is a good alternative and it has eight shades to choose and an upgraded formula for “fade-proof” brows. All in all, I was really impressed and managed to create the natural full brow look both on and off the camera.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
