Privacy NoticeThings took a dramatic turn during Thursday night’s episode (4 July) of Love Island as the intense Casa Amor instalment came to an end and we waved goodbye to a handful of islanders. After a tense recoupling around the fire pit, with the girls returning to the main villa, seven bombshells were tearfully dumped from the villa after failing to find a connection. At the start of the recoupling things appeared to be going well, with host Maya Jama even shedding a tear for Ciaran Davies and Nicole Samuel who had an emotional reunion in the main villa. But after the boys chose to recouple or stay with their respective partners it ultimately left Mimii Ngulube single, while seven other islanders who entered during Casa Amor said a farewell to their brief Love Island journey.

The dramatic recoupling comes after the Love Island girls left the main villa to spend a week at Casa Amor where they met a bunch of new boys. This included the likes of Butler in the Buff Blade Siddiqi and personal trainer Moziah Pinder, who both took a liking to Grace Jackson. Mimii, Uma Jammeh, and Nicole Samuel all remained faithful to their respective partners, sleeping on daybeds outside, to avoid sharing a bed with someone else. However, Mimii’s former partner Ayo Odukoya hit it off with fashion stylist Jessica Spencer who he chose to recouple up with on Thursday night.

This left Mimii heartbreakingly walking back into the villa solo, leaving her single and at risk of being dumped from the villa. Talking of her return she said she was “excited” to see Ayo before feeling “embarrassed” as she saw him standing at the firepit with another girl. Elsewhere, confectionery salesman Sean Stone kissed newcomer Diamanté Laiva during Casa Amor, despite sharing a bed with Ruby Dale. However, he then chose to stay in his couple with Matilda Draper as she faithfully returned.

Uma was concerned about her reunion with Wil Anderson, who unbeknown to her, had pursued an attraction with Lucy Graybill. But when it came to the recoupling, Uma and Wil decided to stay together and continue to explore their connection. But it could be a rocky few days for the islanders as they continue to unpack the drama from Casa Amor with more truths coming to light.
