Privacy NoticeIt was recently revealed that EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt will be entering this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as a wildcard alongside Corrie favourite Simon Gregson. The star, 53, who plays one of the soap’s most iconic characters, is currently on an extended hiatus from the BBC show to star in the touring stage production Looking Dead Good. With his character not set to return to Albert Square until 2022, Adam has signed up to take part in the ITV reality show, which kicks off on Sunday 21 November. The actor will be swapping the theatre stage for Gwrych castle and bushtucker trials, as he prepares to compete against celebrities such as Richard Madeley, Matty Lee, and David Ginola for the winning spot. Adam can usually be found in his swanky £93,000 motorhome, which comes equipped with underfloor heating, as revealed by The Mirror.

Speaking of his highly anticipated return to EastEnders, Adam told The One Show: “I don’t know. The tour runs until the end of October, my daughter is then getting married in America. “There is a possibility the tour will carry on until early next year, so if the tour carries on, I won’t be back in EastEnders until 2022 at the earliest.” Adam’s character was last seen dumping his phone in a bin and leaving Albert Square via Walford East tube station, shortly after it was revealed that his wife at the time, Sharon, had a plot to kill him after she discovered he had a hand in her son Denny’s death.
