PrettyLittleThing’s 2024 Beauty Advent Calendar costs £55 (Image: Phoebe Barton)Even though it’s only September, I’ve cracked open my PrettyLittleThing beauty advent calendar early to help you decide if it’s worth splashing out on this year. With so many brands offering their own beauty calendars, it can be a bit of a minefield deciding which one to go for, so hopefully, our shopping and beauty team can help by giving you our thoughts on most of the 2024 beauty advent calendars. Each calendar comes with different goodies behind each door, and the price tags vary too, with some setting you back hundreds of pounds. This year’s PLT advent calendar is priced at £55, making it one of the more wallet-friendly options. But don’t be fooled by the lower price tag, as it still packs in some fab products from well-known brands. The contents are worth £195, meaning you’re making a tidy saving of £140, as reported by the Mirror. I managed to resist the temptation to open it there and then and tucked it away under my bed where it’s been for the past fortnight. Now, as I sit down to write this piece, I’m about to delve in – so stop reading now if you don’t want any spoilers. I opened the boxes in order of the numbers, but I’ve mixed them up so that you get a little bit of a surprise as to which product is behind each number if you decide to purchase the calendar. I was thrilled to see that the majority of the 24 beauty products inside I’ve been dying to try.

Among the goodies is the West Barn Co Soap Brows with Bamboo Spoolie (RRP £15), which I can’t wait to test on my dark, slightly bushy brows. Also included is the St Tropez Bronzing Water Serum with vitamins C and D (RRP £25) – perfect for adding a glow to my pale face during the winter months. Considering these two products alone are worth a total of £40, I believe PLT’s calendar is a bargain. One product that really caught me by surprise was the Peaches and Cream Lip Liner (RRP £3.95) in the shade Hotline which made me feel nostalgic. It took me right back to 2015 when I had my makeup done at Peaches and Cream in Liverpool for my high school prom and I’m so pleased to see PLT including this brand in their festive offering. Some of the items in the calendar, like the fluffy headband, tweezers and eyelash curlers, are similar to ones I already own. This is not a problem, though, as it means I have backups for when my current ones wear out or get dirty. If I wanted, I could even use some of the items as stocking fillers for family and friends, saving me even more money. Full contents of the PrettyLittleThing Advent Calendar 2024

The only downside for me is that it includes two sets of beautiful false eyelashes, but no glue. I’ve only ever worn lashes when I’ve had my makeup done professionally, so I don’t have any lash glue. This means I’ll have to buy it separately if I want to wear the lashes. You can get your hands on PrettyLittleThing’s 2024 Beauty Advent Calendar now for £55. Want to check out more calendars?
