Privacy NoticeKatie Price has confessed that her “downfall” has been men, revealing that a domestic abuse course has helped her identify “controlling” behaviour. The 46-year-old former glamour model and mum-of-five, who was previously married to Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler and has had several other high-profile relationships, admitted she’s learned to communicate about her financial struggles after seeking help. Speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast, she said: “My downfall – I’ve had to learn all this in therapy – is men, because I jump from one to the other to the other. I need that neediness and then I end up in a toxic relationship, narcissist or gaslighting.” Katie revealed she sought “love” and “validation” from her partners but now feels “completely different”. She shared that she’s completed a domestic abuse course and noticed a “pattern” in her relationships. “I asked the question, I must have made them like it. I must have made them controlling, I must have made them jealous,” she reflected. “But now I’ve learned it’s the wrong men that I’ve picked. A lot of men don’t like independent women because they’re not in control, and I’m very independent. It’s a safety thing for me to know that I’m earning the money, I can pay the bills, I don’t like to rely on anyone else.” Katie Price has opened up about the lessons she’s learned from a relationship course, emphasizing the importance of boundaries and recognizing “red flags” such as the freedom to see friends and family. She recounted her past hardships, saying: “I haven’t ever been in a normal healthy relationship. I’ve been burned, I’ve been ripped off, I’ve been walked over,” and shared how people exploited her generosity. “People have taken advantage of my kindness as a weakness. I’ve hit the most rock bottom I could ever have hit in my life… I’ve had to do a full circle and I’m so positive now that I look back and it makes me sick at how I was, I never want to get in that place.”

Although she’s faced tough times with bankruptcy—first declared in 2019 and again in March over a substantial unpaid tax bill—Price stressed the significance of dialogue in financial matters, stating: “If you’re getting bills, or I had the bankruptcy, they were really on my case… But the day you start communicating, that’s all it takes. You don’t have to do a lot, just little bits of (communication), then it’s like a seed that’s been watered. It grows.” She has made strides toward paying off her debts, notably by committing to hand over a portion of her income from OnlyFans until February 2027. Despite previous visits to a wellbeing priory due to heartache, she notes it was never for alcohol or drugs concerns. Opening up about her earnings from OnlyFans, she declared she rakes in “loads”, though she noted it hinges on the type of content she produces. She also divulged plans for a major comeback, confidently expressing: “I’ve had sh*t relationships, but I’m still here sitting to tell the tale and still got a big grin on my face. Ready to bring the Empire back – and I will.” You can catch the full story on The Louis Theroux Podcast across Spotify and various podcast streaming services.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
