Privacy NoticeEamonn Holmes made a savage dig at new prime minister Keir Starmer this morning as he announced the results of the General Election on GB News. The former This Morning star, 64, branded the Labour leader “deadly dull” as he fronted his Vote 2024 programme alongside Isabel Webster after demolishing him with a six-word remark. He told guest Lord Maurice Glasman after Starmer’s Labour party won a majority in Parliament: “People often say Britian is going the way of America, our elections are becoming more presidential but if that was the case i don’t think Starmer would’ve won.” Eamonn previously said of 61-year-old Starmer: “He’s wooden. He’s a dullard.” To which Isabel replied: “But that doesn’t matter.”

Keir Starmer’s wife Victoria’s sweary rant as new PM made terrible first impression

Starmer was appointed prime minister by King Charles earlier today after the Labour party amassed 412 seats – with two still to announce at time of writing – far more than the 326 required to form a majority government. It’s not the first time Eamonn has slated politicians by claiming they’re not interesting – he did the same to Rishi Sunak when he was still in power, launching into a broadside on his first show back after it was revealed he had split from wife Ruth Langsford. Comparing him to a school headteacher, he said: “Can this man get any more boring than he is? “This business of conscription, this business of maths. He just would have made a perfect awful head teacher, wouldn’t he? Oh, Mr Sunak’s in today, he’s a right bore, he is.” He also returned to his ‘Presidential’ theme, adding: “You don’t see Presidential candidates in America doing this. They act Presidentially. All this business of kicking footballs is a lot of nonsense.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
