Privacy NoticeAway from the cameras, TV star Holly Willoughby has a quiet home life that she chooses to keep quite private. However, the 43 year old has faced opposition over the years, from neighbours who are trying to halt plans for an extension of her £3 million London home. In 2019, the Dancing On Ice presenter upset neighbours with plans to build on to her current property to create the family’s ‘dream home’. “I do not pay taxes to get this level of disruption, it is not quality of life.” Julie Halstead also hit out, saying that “further development as per proposal, would severely impact the character and nature of this part of the road and community”. The same neighbours also expressed concerns for local wildlife, which they said could be harmed by the extension plans.

However, the concerns for noise were dismissed by the council’s planning officer who despite originally rejecting the plans, later granted permission. In 2016, the neighbours previously objected to an application for a two-storey extension the same year they were approved to build a “super basement”. In 2013, Holly’s husband Dan responded to noise complaints from an anonymous neighbour. He responded by emailing 50 residents to deny the claim and slam the “rude and aggressive” tone of the complaint.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
