The actor has played lawyer Imran Habeeb on the cobbles since 2017, but The Sun reports the actor has now quit his role. A source said: “Charlie’s loved his time on the soap but the time is right to try new things. “He’s hugely talented and very ambitious and wants to see what else is out there.He will always cherish his time in Weatherfield but for now it’s goodbye.”

The Imran Habeeb actor has two golden retrievers Toni and Sarah and they’ve been known to have litters of puppies. And there’s plenty of space for the dogs to play at Charlie’s home, with the star boasting a large patio area and a bench.

The kitchen is a stylish spot with beautifully patterned tiles and a blue Aga too. It’s reported that Charlie will film his final scenes in the coming months, with his exit due to air later this year. OK! has contacted ITV for comment. In recent weeks, Imran was seen proposing to Toyah Battersby to give them a better chance of adopting their foster daughter Elsie.
