Privacy NoticeOscar-winning actor Brad Pitt, who is 60 years old, has been compared to his character from the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, after he was spotted looking much younger than his age at Silverstone racing circuit on Thursday 4 July. The star, who is best known for his roles in Fight Club, Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood, Thelma & Louise and Se7en, starred as Benjamin Button in the 2008 fantasy movie that was based on the short story by F Scott Fitzgerald. In the quirky film, Benjamin is born in 1918 with the appearance of an old man and as he grows up he appears elderly but seems to age in reverse, getting younger as everyone else gets older. One fan wrote: “Could Brad Pitt be the real Benjamin Button?” while another commented: “My gosh!! Look at Brad Pitt!!” and a third added, “He still looks good. He still looks 40 years old.”

A fourth fan said: “Brad Pitt is a unicorn, most 60 year old guys don’t look like that.” Brad was at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix taking place there between Thursday 4 July and Sunday 7 July, but not as a spectator. He is filming a Formula One movie – expected to be titled F1 – that is co-produced by seven-time world champion racing driver Lewis Hamilton. The movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also made box office smash Top Gun: Maverick, has been filming for over a year, and Brad and the rest of the cast and crew had already filmed scenes during last year’s British Grand Prix.

He was spotted again at the famous Silverstone circuit this week in costume, wearing the racing suit of a fictional team: APX GP, and is expected to race an adapted Formula Two car for some of the film’s action sequences over the next few days. In the movie, Brad will play a veteran driver named Sonny Hayes, who raced as a Formula One driver in the 1990s and was forced to retire after experiencing a horrible crash. He is coaxed out of retirement by an old friend who asks him to mentor a rookie prodigy named Joshua Pearce.

The movie also stars Oscar-winner Javier Bardem as Sonny’s old friend who is the team principal, Damson Idris as Joshua, Outlander’s Tobias Menzies and The Banshees of Inisherin star Kerry Condon. Formula One drivers and team members including Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen will also be in the movie, playing themselves, and it is being made with the cooperation of the sport’s governing body, the FIA. The movie is being made by Apple TV+ and will be released in cinemas on June 25 next year. A teaser trailer for the film is expected to be shown during the live international feed of the British Grand Prix in the afternoon on Sunday 7 July.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
