Yasemin, who has lived in Turkey and Australia, graduated from Müjdat Gezen Konservatuarı with a degree in theatre arts. She went on to pursue a career in acting, and has appeared in TV shows, films and miniseries, mainly in Turkey. The 34 year old was previously in a relationship with Edral Kaya – a former FBI employee based in Charlotte and Chicago. The pair had reportedly been dating for a while before it was claimed they’d split earlier this year. During their romance, Yasemin and Erdal shared several loved-up photos together and attended events together. They’ve since unfollowed one another and wiped all trace of their relationship from their accounts. Prior to her relationship with Erdal, Yasemin dated Turkish model Armagan Oguz. She has also reportedly dated Ibrahim Celikkol, Onur Tuna and Gökhan Çelikçakır in the past.

Yasemin will now be starring in BBC2’s The Turkish Detective, which was filmed in Istanbul. The actress has shared her excitement over the series, in which she will play detective Ayse. “Aside from the fact that it’s set in Istanbul, there’s a real warmth at the heart of it. It’s a procedural story, so there are fun mysteries, but its underlying message is about hope, family and those we hold dear,” she told TV Times. The BBC series is a dream come true for Yasemin, who revealed she’d always wanted to film a detective series in Turkey. She added: I’m not going to preach about the power of manifestation or anything like that, but I remember openly saying to my mother how much I’d love to shoot a detective series here in Turkey. So it’s nothing less than a dream come true.” The Turkish Detective starts on Sunday 7 July at 9pm on BBC2, with the second episode available on Monday 8 July at 9pm and on BBCiPlayerStory SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
