Privacy Notice Dick and Angel Strawbridge have unveiled a “gorgeous” transformation of one of the bedrooms at their stately chateau. Showcased on their popular show Escape To The Chateau, we’ve seen the couple transform all areas of the stunning 19th-century building, in the small market town of Martigné-sur-Mayenne in Western France. Angel has turned her attention to one of the bedrooms in recent weeks, stamping her signature floral design on the room. Posting on Instagram, the couple say that the ‘Moonlight’ design was “inspired by re-imagining ‘Blossom’ by the light of the moon. “Adding dusky moonlight creates a magical feel that Angel often says she experiences when she sees The Chateau under the moon’s soft glimmer.” Angel shared, “If you want to bring the outside in but prefer to stick to more muted tones when styling your home, the Moonlight Bed Set in Rose Dawn can be beautifully paired with a darker colour scheme.”

Fans were quick to rave about the transformation, with one commenting: “Absolutely LOVE your style!” Another shared, “That’s gorgeous! It looks lush with the blue/green.” The new bedroom update comes after news that the Strawbridges have parted ways with Channel 4, who broadcast the show for seven years.

In a heartfelt Instagram post addressing the end of the era, Dick and Angel have thanked the fans for “inviting” them into their living rooms. They’ve also cleared up the rumours that they clashed with Channel 4, stressing that they have nothing but gratitude for everyone who helped them on their incredible journey. “It was a Strawbridge Family decision early last year to conclude ‘Escape to the Chateau’, but we have loved every moment and, despite the many challenges, we refused to give up on our dream, and in doing so have filled the chateau with love and laughter, and, most importantly, have created the most wonderful home for our family,” the statement read.

“We know there are lots of stories in the press right now. It’s not worth us even trying to comment or give context, because anything can be made into a good headline. We understand. There are two sides to every story and from the incredible support we have received, most of you know that,” they continued. What’s next for the couple? Well, they’ve recently listed the renovated chateau for sale and have put their wedding business on hold. And while they’ve yet to share with us what they’ll be moving onto next, they thanked their fans for their “continued love and support.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
