Privacy NoticeWe know her best for delighting audiences in Gavin and Stacey and for her memorable turn as a body double during Richard Curtis rom-com Love Actually, but actress Joanna Page will once again be returning to our screens this festive season as part of a brand new drama on BBC One. The 46 year old star will be starring in Men Up, which is due to hit our screens on Friday 29 December at 9pm. The feature length drama is inspired by the true story of one of the world’s first medical trials for Viagra which took place in Swansea back in 1994 and follows a group of middle-aged men as they take the very first pills.

Joanna’s character is one of the nurses who is instrumental in the trial, and will see the star joined by Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon, Dunkirk’s Aneurin Barnard and Star Wars actor Mark Lewis Jones. Ahead of the drama’s debut, we’ve taken a closer look at Joanna’s charming home, which she frequently shares glimpses of on social media. One of the first things visitors to Joanna’s home will see is a large wooden front door leading into the home which has huge acorns hanging from it in a quirky design choice.

The bookshelf is positively booming with books
With four children to raise, Joanna revealed she was cutting back from acting to focus on more presenting roles instead, in the hopes of being able to spend more time with her young family. Chatting with The Mirror previously, the mum-of-four admitted she has cut back on acting roles in favour of presenting jobs, with the change allowing her to spend more time with her kids. “I really enjoy presenting and it works a lot better with a family as you don’t have to go away for weeks on end,” the star explained.

“For the first six months after I had Eva I was away working filming two shows back to back,” she said. “I had my mum looking after her on set but it was so tough as all I wanted to do was spend time with my new baby.” She added: “Also, I just find presenting a lot more interesting. You’re always doing something different and I love just being myself and chatting to people. “It can be a lot more fun than sitting alone in a trailer for hours learning lines, then going out to do a scene where you’re pretending to be somebody else.” For more lifestyle updates and for inside homes, sign up to OK!’s daily newsletter here Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
