Privacy NoticeThe beloved Eastenders’ character, Ian Beale, portrayed by soap stalwart Adam Woodyatt, has been witnessed behaving rather peculiarly this week in Walford, fuelling speculations about a concealed secret. Ian’s shifty antics, which included clandestine phone conversations, haven’t gone unnoticed by his family. Initially, he also seemed averse to the idea of discussing his son Bobby’s (Clay Milner Russell) imminent 21st birthday party plans. Wednesday night’s episode (10 July), released on iPlayer, saw an even more dubious development in the plot. Ian finds himself at the receiving end of a curious text message asking, “Can we meet tomorrow morning? ” When queried by Peter (Thomas Law) and Cindy (Michelle Collins), he reveals his intent to rejoin local council politics, leaving the pair baffled nonetheless. Despite this, fans have begun theorising what explosive secrets might surface, with rampant online speculations. Some insist it could likely hint at ex-wife Jane’s (Laurie Brett) comeback, reports the Daily Star. However, other viewers propose a separate theory around the return of another popular figure from the past who may not be Jane. EastEnders enthusiasts are buzzing on social media with theories, suggesting it could be Cindy Williams, also known as Cindy Jr. One fan speculated on Twitter: “I’m convinced the person Ian is calling is Cindy Jnr.”

Another chimed in: “I reckon this mystery person ian is texting will be cindy jr.” Over on Reddit, a user threw in their guess, saying, “Everyone’s thinking Jane, so I’ll throw a wee curveball; Cindy JR. He’s tryna bring her back so he can be the hero and feel closer to Cindy.” Mimi Keene captured viewers’ hearts as the mischievous Cindy Jnr, daughter of the legendary Cindy Beale, for two action-packed years. Her time on the show was marked by her involvement in the gripping ‘Who killed Lucy Beale?’ plot and her dramatic teenage pregnancy, which led to the birth of her daughter Beth while on the run. Cindy’s chapter on the Square came to an end in August 2015 when she decided to start anew in Germany alongside Liam Butcher (played by James Forde) and his father Ricky Butcher (portrayed by Sid Owen).Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
