Privacy NoticeEastEnders enthusiasts are buzzing with speculation about the potential return of a fan-favourite character. Scarlett Alice Johnson graced our screens as Vicki Fowler on the iconic BBC One soap back in the 2000s. As the offspring of Walford legends Dirty Den Watts (played by Leslie Grantham) and Michelle Fowler (portrayed by Susan Tully), Vicki certainly made her mark during her brief yet memorable time on the Square. Vicki was at the centre of drama, mirroring her mum’s teenage pregnancy storyline among other juicy plots. Scarlett waved goodbye to the show in 2004 after nearly two years and 194 episodes, with Vicki jetting off to be with her mum in the States, eventually joining Spencer Moon down under to run a bar, reports the Daily Star. But whispers among the EastEnders faithful suggest Vicki might just make a dramatic return to Walford, although there seems to be one sticking point for fans. A Reddit user recently pondered: “Anyone else miss the watts in Eastenders only one left is Sharon maybe they should cast more distant Watts family I wouldn’t mind seeing Vicki returning.” (sic). Other fans are keen on the idea, with one commenting: “I think bringing Vicky back could be good. As long as they don’t try and make her do an accent she’ll be fine. But it’s been so long they could even bring in a new actress..” Another fan chimed in, hoping for a Vicki comeback sans the American twang: “Bring back Vicki! Just without that accent.” Meanwhile, another viewer speculated: “I’m thinking she’s going to make an appearance next year at some point for the 40th anniversary.”

The buzz doesn’t stop there; if Vicki does grace Albert Square once more, she’ll be joining the iconic Chrissie Watts, who is set to return after a dramatic 19-year absence. The show has confirmed that Chrissie will be back for a thrilling short stint, though details of her storyline are being kept hush-hush. Tracy-Ann Oberman, who portrays Chrissie, expressed her excitement about reprising her role. She said: “Chrissie Watts was such a great character to play – a victim or a villain. She is a real fan favourite so, when Chris Clenshaw asked me to come back and re-visit her and see what has happened in the last 19 years, I jumped at the chance. The scripts are fantastic and I hope the viewers enjoy her as much as I am enjoying playing her again.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
