Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing’s Graziano Di Prima reportedly “repeatedly kicked and hit” his former dance partner Zara McDermott during their time on the show. The 30 year old Italian pro dancer took to social media over the weekend to confirm rumours that he’s been axed from the upcoming series of the dance competition, admitting “events” that he deeply regrets as the reason for his departure. It is being reported that his exit from the show is due to accusations of “gross misconduct.” Graziano, who was paired with Zara on last year’s series, informed his social media followers that he won’t be part of the new series starting in September, despite having confirmed his return in June. The professional dancer’s exit is allegedly based on claims made by those working on the show who witnessed his alleged treatment of Zara during last year’s series. The Daily Mail reports that Zara was a “victim of repeated physical and verbal abuse” behind the scenes.

Graziano turned to his social media to confirm his Strictly exit, saying: “I deeply regret the events that led to my departure from Strictly. My intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime. While respecting the BBC HR process, I acknowledge it’s only right for the sake of the show that I step away.
