Bukayo, meanwhile, has been having an impressive Euros tournament. He was voted player of the match for his performance in the England v Switzerland game, where he scored a memorable equalizing goal, and won even more fans with a heartfelt interview following the match that reflected on his performance in the previous 2020 Euro championships, where he missed the decisive penalty against Italy in the final in 2021. When asked about the pressure he was under taking a penalty during the Switzerland game this time around (in which he successfully scored), Bukayo said: “I think for me, it’s something I embrace. You can fail once, but you have a choice whether you will put yourself in that position or not again. I am a guy who is going to put myself in that position and I believed in myself.
