Privacy NoticeFollowers have been keenly watching Kieran and Charlotte Trippier’s love story, and given the cryptic messages on Instagram that she has posted, rumours are rife about a potential split. It was noted that Charlotte is no longer following her other half on social media, and unlike other WAGs, she’s not been seen in the stands cheering for him during matches at the Euros 2024. The Newcastle player appears to be hopeful of a reconciliation; he’s still following his wife and has been spotted with his wedding band intact. Mail Online suggests there’s trouble in paradise, claiming things “aren’t good between them”. An insider told the publication: “It’s been known for some time that things are not good between them. They’ve had a number of issues and have been trying to resolve them but it’s proving to be quite a challenge.” OK! has reached out to Kieran’s reps for a statement on the speculation.

It’s worth noting that Kieran’s friends aren’t pleased with the timing of Charlotte’s mysterious posts. While Charlotte has not explicitly stated that her now-removed Instagram story was aimed at Kieran, her noticeable absence from the recent Germany match where she usually supports him, coupled with the cryptic message, has sparked speculation. On Monday 24 June, just before England’s game against Slovenia ended in a goalless draw, Charlotte posted on Instagram: “Sooner or later you get over the s*** you swore you’d never get over and it’s the best feeling in the world.” She accompanied the post with a cheery note saying, “The sun is shining. Happy Monday angels.” Rather than joining the other WAGs to root for Kieran, Charlotte chose to spend the previous Friday at The Hoppings, a well-known fair in Newcastle. She documented her day there with their three kids on Instagram. Charlotte, who is 29 years old, shares three sons with Kieran, having first crossed paths with him in 2014. After dating for a year, Kieran popped the question, and they got hitched in 2016 in Cyprus.

Their family began with the birth of Jacob in December 2016, followed by the arrival of Esme Rose in February 2020, and then they welcomed another child into their lives in 2022. Charlotte, who once co-ran the Instagram fashion blog Style Up Sisters with her sister Rosie Wray, has seen a change in her online presence as the account is now inactive. Meanwhile, her husband Kieran’s career took him from Tottenham Hotspur to Atletico Madrid in a £20million deal back in 2019, before he joined Newcastle in 2022. The family man and father of two embraced life in Spain after his move, sharing with the BBC: “It’s been amazing. My wife and two children are the most important thing to me, and also to make sure we found a place for them and for them to feel settled – and they have done, it’s made my life a lot easier.” In the NUFC Prime Video documentary series We are Newcastle United last year, Charlotte opened up about the struggles she faced in Madrid, which were far from the glamorous life many might expect. She revealed feeling “lonely” and “depressed” during her time there, despite the excitement surrounding her husband’s high-profile transfer to the Toon Army.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
