Ever since Oliver Farnworth’s upcoming arrival as John Sugden was announced, fans have been hoping for a romance between the new character and Aaron Dingle, as John has been tipped to “catch the eye of an unspespecting resident.” Now, Danny Miller has ‘fuelled these theories’ on the RadioTimes.com red carpet. Speaking to OK! and other media, Danny said: “There’s a Sugden coming in, so with the history Aaron has with Robert, it’ll be interesting to see what happens with them. Aaron and Robert Sugden’s on/off again relationship was a favourite amongst fans, and the couple tied the knot officially in 2018. However, Robert was handed a life prison sentence with a minimum of 14 years a year later when he attacked Lee Posner, who later died in hospital. Robert then filed for divorce from Aaron, leaving him devastated. Could Aaron finally get his happy ever after with another Sugden? Another penned: “I wonder if the ‘catch the eye of an unsuspecting resident’ is Aaron as he likes a Sugden and he looks a lot like Robert and might be his brother.” Speaking on his arrival to the ITV soap, the former Coronation Street star previously expressed: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The soap will soon honour the late Steve Halliwell, who was beloved for his role as Zak Dingle, which will “bring the Dingles even closer together.” Karen Blick, who plays Lydia Dingle revealed at the RadioTime.com soap awards, held at Manchester Midland hotel that she was “moved to tears” when she read the emotional script.
