Privacy NoticeITV’s popular talk show This Morning experienced some major disruptions during a live broadcast. The incident took place on Thursday’s episode where hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary were joined by Money Supermarket Expert and founder Martin Lewis. The finance guru was set up to answer questions from viewers via video link. However, it seemed like there was an issue with the setup as Martin appeared off-centred on the display before going on-air. He even checked with his co-star, asking: “Am I in the middle? We’d suffered technical issues earlier and I was not in the middle.” Dermot, trying to alleviate the situation, confirmed “Yes, you are, it’s all fine here.” Unfortunately, Dermot would soon realise that everything wasn’t “fine”. Further mishaps unfolded when the duo lost connection with their team.

They had planned for a Q&A segment, allowing viewers to call in with their financial queries for Martin. However, things went south when it came time to introduce the callers. A bewildered Dermot confessed: “We don’t have any communication of who you’re going to be speaking to.”
Martin Lewis began to loose patience
Dermot was left a bit flustered on live TV, as he said: “We’ll be speaking to Eileen.” He then asked: “Do we have Eileen,” before informing viewers: “Sadly, not no.” Alison jumped in to help her co-host, saying: “Let’s have a look, the phone in… on air… Tina.” Dermot clarified: “Nope, that’s yesterday, her sister isn’t coming to her wedding.”
Alison and Dermot scramble to get the live Q&A off the ground
They grappled with the tablet for a moment as Martin waited in angst from afar. The Birmingham-lass tried to change tact and instead turned her attention to the finance professional. She said: “We haven’t got anything on our screen yet. How are you anyway bubs? Are you alright Martin, tell us your day.” But before he had a chance to answer, Dermot stepped in to stop the chit-chat. “Now hang on a second, lads, if people in our ear can just relay it to us,” fumed the host. With Dermot now getting fed snippets of distorted information via his earpiece, Martin decided he was going to put an end to the fiasco. “No one is noticing,” he said sarcastically before adding further jest about the on-air situation: “It’s good, the advantage is this show isn’t live, we can edit it afterwards.” This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10am.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
