Eagle eyed viewers would have spotted Tommy in the crowd during the show, including during his Charleston with celebrity dance partner AJ Odudu in 2021. Kai almost took his footwork skills to the football pitch instead of the dance floor, as at aged 12, he turned down a contract with the Premier League to pursue a career in dancing. In 2021, Kai joined the cast of pros in the BBC show, which is where he met former partner Nadiya. The two got together in 2022, and were ‘blissfully in love’. Kai Widdrington and Nadiya Bychkova reportedly split after a two-year relationship
Speaking of their split, a source told The Sun: “It’s heartbreaking. Kai and Nadiya seemed like the most perfect couple and have been so, so blissfully in love. But the pressures of touring – being in each other’s space 24/7, and the stress of performing a sell-out show eventually took its toll.” However, the source claims that the two are still incredibly close, and are determined their split will not have any impact on the next series of Strictly – they remain consummate professionals, and nothing will change that.” The pair fell in love during Kai’s first series, when he was paired with AJ. During that year, Nadiya was paired with BBC breakfast presenter Dan Walker.

The couple previously opened up to OK! about their hopes of starting a family together one day. “Marriage is important to me,” said Nadiya on the couple’s first exclusive joint photoshoot. “One day I would like to be a wife, and extend my family.” Kai was also on the same page, as he said it was also a future he wanted. “I would love to be a dad and one day be a husband and have a family. Ultimately, we’re not trying to start a family right now, but we are trying to create that family feeling among us and that’s important,” he said at the time.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
