Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing fans suspect they’ve figured out who will replace professional dancer Graziano Di Prima on the hit BBC series after his and Giovanni Pernice’s departures from the show. Giovanni quit the show amid a storm of allegations from past celeb partners, and Graziano was axed after ‘gross misconduct’ towards Zara McDermott in rehearsals. With the launch of the new Strictly season looming large, and rehearsals about to be put into full swing, the decision-makers behind the scenes need to be quick-step in bringing another pro to the lineup to cover the sudden gaps. Fans on social media are discussing who might step into the dancing shoes as the new pro dancer. One fan laid out their predictions for the timeline, saying:

“We now know the launch show is being filmed on 4th September, which is pretty much in line with previous years. Before this happens, the celebs have to film the meeting the pros, the interviews and videos for social media and VTs, attend wardrobe fittings and rehearse for the group dance in the Launch Show and in recent years these have been done after the entire cast have been revealed. I can’t see the reveals starting any later than the 5th August.” Another penned: “I’m sticking with my prediction of an 8 male/7 female celeb split this year again with probably a same sex partnership of each gender. That way 8 male pros is actually enough and 1 will still be on the bench.” Upon the news that Graziano would exit immediately, Zara issued a statement stating she had been “too scared” to voice her concerns at that time. Sharing via social media, Zara voiced: “Reports have been made about my treatment on the show and there were witnesses to some events, as well as videos of particular incidents which are incredibly distressing to watch.”

“I have wrestled with the fear of opening up – I was scared about public backlash, I was scared about my future, I was scared of victim shaming. But after a lot of conversations with those I love, I’ve gained the strength to face these fears, and when I was asked to speak to the BBC, I spoke candidly about my time on the show.” With Nikita Kuzmin revealing earlier in the week that Strictly rehearsals are just around the corner, the 20th anniversary series is kicking off under a bit of a cloud. However, there’s no doubt that everyone involved will be pulling out all the stops to replace the situation with happiness and buzz around the show. Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
