Privacy NoticePlayboy model and former contestant on the Russian version of The Bachelor, Veronika Murashkina, has tragically passed away at the age of 31. Before her untimely death, she was desperately awaiting a lung transplant due to a severe lung disease. Her health struggles had escalated after being bedridden for years following a devastating car crash. Doctors had prioritised her for a lung transplant, but sadly, she died on Thursday, 18 October, before it could happen, reports the Mirror. A close friend confirmed her passing to the press and said: “After the serious accident, her leg was literally put back together piece by piece.

“She was treated for a long time, stayed in clinics and recovered. It seemed that her troubles were finally in the past, but then a new one came when the lung disease hit her. “Veronika was on the waiting list for a transplant, but she did not live to see it. This bright person passed away tonight.” Veronika gained fame on the fifth season of The Bachelor on TNT in 2017, where she competed for actor Ilya Glinnikov’s heart. Post-show, the Toguchin-born star graced Playboy magazine, donning yellow bunny ears and a bodysuit, as well as the iconic Playboy costume.

After the horrific accident left her critically injured, Veronika spent months in hospital battling a severely damaged leg and a weakened immune system. The incident led to the development of a life-threatening lung disease. Sadly, the accident put an end to Veronika’s modelling career as she was confined to her bed. However, it’s reported that she found solace in handcrafting. Before taking part in the fifth series of Russia’s The Bachelor, Veronika lived in Moscow – where she studied economics before becoming a model. She appeared in Playboy magazine back in 2017, wearing yellow bunny ears in a magazine spread alongside a note about the brand’s infamous parties. Veronika had reportedly given up her modelling career to focus on arts and crafts when she was involved in a car accident whilst travelling to her hometown of Toguchin.
