Privacy NoticeThe popular ITV game show The 1% Club returned on Saturday, July 2, with a rerun as 100 contestants tested their common sense and intelligence. The repeated episode, hosted by comedian Lee, 55, saw the players attempt to win a prize of up to £100,000 – but in order to win they had to answer a question only one percent of the country would get right. Sarah Hannon was among the contestants taking part in the show and after missing out on the final she jokingly pushed all the blame to Lee.

Revealing the question, Lee said: “Here is the 70% question.” The camera panned over to a screen, where players could see five items, which were a cat, bat, coat, hat, and a house mat.”

Lee then asked: “Which is the odd one out?” At the end of the round, Lee revealed that nine contestants got the question wrong and would not move on to the next round. He said: “We’ve lost nine of you – Let’s look at the answer. Cat, bat, and mat all rhyme but coat doesn’t.” Turning to some of the players who got the question wrong, Lee asked: “Sarah Hannon, oh, hello what happened?” Sarah went on to say: “I’m going to blame you because I’m star struck.” “You’re going to blame me because you’re star stuck,” Lee echoed. Sarah replied: “Yeah.” Lee admitted: “You look like Minnie Driver.” Sarah asked: “Minnie Driver, what’s that?” Everyone burst into laughter as Lee responded: “I’m not having a go at you. You don’t look like a Mini driver, you look like the kind of woman who drives a Mini!”

He confirmed: “No, Minnie Driver. There’s an actress called Minni Driver and you look like Minnie Driver.” Sarah said: “I’m too young for that.” Lee explained: “No, Minnie Driver when she was younger.” Sarah looked baffled as Lee joked: “Sorry not Minnie Driver, Richard Hammond.” At the end of the round, Lee confirmed those moving forward now had £20,000 to play for. He said: “So, the £1,000 of everyone who got the question wrong now goes into the prize pot so let’s see what that’s done to the total.” Turning to the screen, Lee added: “That’s £20,000.” The 1% Club airs Saturdays on ITV1.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
