Privacy NoticeThis Morning’s co-hosts Alison Hammond and Joel Dommett were left in a bit of a pickle during their show on Monday 22 July when they experienced a technical hiccup. The pair were deep in conversation with Dr Zoe Williams, who was appearing over video link from the Isle of Wight, discussing the perils of allergies. Joel, stepping in for Dermot O’Leary, was sharing a personal anecdote about his wife Hannah’s severe reaction to mosquito bites. “My wife is allergic to mosquito bites/stings it becomes really dangerous almost,” he shared, adding a touch of pre-wedding drama. “The day before our wedding she got one right next to her eye and her eye blew up right before our wedding, I was thinking, ‘Is this permanent?’ “Do you know what I mean? ” he quipped, earning a chuckle from the crew, reports the Mirror. But as they returned their attention to Dr. Zoe, Alison noticed something amiss as the link to Zoe had paused: “She’s frozen!”, Alison couldn’t help but tease, “You have frozen her,” while Joel quickly chimed in with an apologetic “I am so sorry! I just wanted to do a little anecdote – I am so sorry, Zoe.” The live feed chaos gave Alison time to ask more about Joel’s wedding nightmare. “Was she okay on the wedding day?” Alison asked about Hannah. “We used antihistamines and we got it down and she was absolutely fine,” Joel assured everyone. The show has had a few technical issues of late, with the episode on Thursday 18 July featuring a major disruption. Alison and Dermot O’Leary were joined by Money Saving Expert and founder Martin Lewis. The finance guru was set up to answer questions from viewers via video link.

However, it seemed like there was an issue with the setup as Martin appeared off-centred on the display before going on-air. He even checked with his co-star, asking: “Am I in the middle? We’d suffered technical issues earlier and I was not in the middle.” Dermot, trying to alleviate the situation, confirmed: “Yes, you are, it’s all fine here.” However, everything wasn’t fine. Further mishaps unfolded when they duo lost connection with their team. They had planned for a Q&A segment, allowing viewers to call in with their financial queries for Martin. However, things went south when it came time to introduce the callers. A bewildered Dermot confessed: “We don’t have any communication of who you’re going to be speaking to.” In the end, after Dermot and Alison realised they had no callers to introduce to Martin, Alison cleverly improvised while the production team tried to sort things out: “We haven’t got anything on our screen yet. How are you anyway bubs? Are you alright Martin, tell us your day.” Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
