He said: “I’m gonna answer it honestly because I always sort of dodge this question and say ‘Never say never’. Reflecting on the possibility of a one-off special, he lamented: “Which is terrible to think because what a laugh for us to do. If we could all do like a one-off special, but they’re so expensive. It was a very expensive show Benidorm, it was very lavishly produced,” reports the Daily Star. He also pointed out the practicalities, noting: “But to go there just for a few weeks and do it, I think it’s not very cost effective and I don’t know if a full series would work now.” However, he did leave a glimmer of hope, mentioning that the cast and crew would jump at the chance to reunite for one last hurrah. He shared: “I’m a bit of a pessimist so I would say the best thing to do would be a one-off special but I don’t think that’s possible. But I would love to do it and I know a lot of people, especially the actors who are still alive, I know they’d want to do it for sure.” The buzz around a potential Benidorm comeback intensified as Josh Bolt, known for his role as Rod Dawson, was spotted catching up with co-stars Steve Edge and Selina Griffiths. The 29 year old actor looked delighted in a snapshot with Steve, who played his on-screen father, and Selina, who took on the role of Pauline Maltby.
