The panellist paused to announce that two guests in the Loose Women audience had got engaged. She said: “Now from cheating to something very different… a proposal. “During the break, my friend Liam who is in the audience proposed to his partner, Michael.” As the audience began to cheer and applaud, the programme halted to show the romantic moment unfold. “Look at this,” Coleen beamed. “It is so romantic.” She added: “It was so romantic, things like that make my day. That is so lovely, we wish you all the best, and we wait for the invitation.”

Elsewhere, the ITV star was forced to apologise to viewers after she accidentally looked at the wrong camera at the beginning of the show. As she laughed, Coleen said to her co-stars: “That was a nice entrance there, Denise. I liked the pout. “Hello and welcome to your Wednesday’s show, coming up, it is great for weight loss, keeps you fit, and may even keep you safe…”

However, after realising her mistake, Coleen went on: “Sorry, wrong camera there, I am used to that camera.” “Excuse me, I am sorry, I am sorry,” she added before moving on with the show. Coleen may have taken the lead on Loose Women today, but on Monday, she was thrilled to see the return of her pal Ruth Langsford, who had taken a two-month hiatus. Ruth had taken a short break from the show following her split from Eamonn Holmes. “Wait, wait, wait, before you carry on, can I just say I am so so happy you’re back,” Coleen told Ruth.
