Fans were quick to show their support, with one follower commenting: “Love this picture of you,” and another posting clapping emojis. In recent weeks, two of the show’s pro dancers, Graziano and Giovanni, exited the competition amidst a storm of controversy as more allegations from celebrity contestants surfaced. Graziano was accused of “kicking, hitting and spitting at” his former dance partner Zara McDermott. He confessed to kicking her during a rehearsal but denied spitting at her, reports the Mirror. Zara later refuted that it was a one-time incident. Weeks earlier, Giovanni was dropped from the line-up following accusations about his ‘militant’ training style. The Mirror recently reported that beloved Strictly judge Anton Du Beke is the latest star to be named to lawyers Carter Ruck, which has reportedly contacted the BBC regarding “numerous serious complaints” of alleged behaviour while filming Strictly. The ballroom legend, who transitioned from dancer to judge on the show, finds himself at the heart of accusations by his one-time dance partner, actress Laila Rouass.

Anton has been brought to the attention of top lawyers Carter Ruck by Laila, and insiders have spilled that her team is mulling over lodging a formal complaint with the BBC soon. It is understood that Laila’s complaint to lawyers follows a remark made by Anton at the time, in which he commented that the star looked like “a P***” after she had been given a spray tan. He later apologised for the comment, saying: “I must say immediately and categorically that I am not a racist and that I do not use racist language. During the course of rehearsals Laila and I have exchanged a great deal of banter entirely in jest, and two weeks ago there was an occasion when this term was used between the two of us.” Laila, who boasts Indian and Moroccan roots, graciously accepted Anton’s apology at the time.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
