Privacy NoticeKim Woodburn has recounted her difficult memories of going head-to-head on This Morning in 2017 with its then host, Phillip Schofield. The outspoken celebrity cleaning guru, now 82, appeared on the ITV show after a stay in the Celebrity Big Brother house – and has now revealed she still hasn’t mended any fences with Phil or Holly Willoughby. She famously fell out with 62-year-old Phillip during a heated debate about her Big Brother experience, where she insisted she was picked on by fellow housemates but stuck it out for her fee. Reflecting on her exchange with the ITV co-hosts at the time, Kim insists it has left a sour taste in her mouth.

In an exclusive chat with Reach PLC, associated with WhichBingo, she said: “I think Phillip Schofield started out as a great presenter, he was, you know, to be fair. He did a lot of shows and he did them impeccably and was very likeable.” But it wasn’t all glowing, as Kim went on to criticise Phil for getting “too big for his boots” during his later years on This Morning, which he left in May last year. “Do you know what happened? The last few years of his career, he got too big for his boots,” Kim continued. “When I was interviewed by him he was rude, he was opinionated, he was on the edge of the sofa looking at me. Well, ‘why did you go in?’ I mean, that’s not what a presenter does.”

Kim also blasted Holly, who left This Morning last October, saying that without Phil by her side, the Dancing on Ice host wouldn’t have been such a big name. “What did she ever do on the show? She was 14 years of Phil Schofield, money for old rope, she didn’t do anything. “She sat there when he was arguing with people, or questioning people on something serious and when it turned out, what did Holly do? Or when he was rude to someone, did she once ever say in 14 years, ‘Phillip, I think you’re wrong you know, no, come on’. Not once! If it hadn’t have been for Phillip, she wouldn’t have survived on the show for 14 years. Although he was rude, at least he made it interesting.”

Phil left This Morning in May last year after admitting to “an unwise, but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague. In October, Holly stepped down after 14 years as one of the most familiar faces on breakfast telly. While Phil has recently appeared back on screens in Channel 5’s Cast Away, Holly has wrapped filming a new Netflix show with Bear Grylls which is due to air early next year. Addressing the speculation that Phil might appear on this year’s I’m A Celebrity, Kim said she thought he’d “survive very well” after seeing him live on a deserted island in the three-part Cast Away series. “I don’t like Phil, but bless him and credit to him, he survived on that place.
