Privacy Notice Viewers have seen him on their television screens for over two decades, but now Joe Swash is going to be headlining a completely different show to what we’ve been used to seeing him on. Following his success on Celebrity Masterchef back in 2021 when he became a finalist, the actor has been snapped up by Channel 4 for a brand new cooking show. The I’m A Celebrity winner is teaming up with best-selling author Suzanne Mulholland, who is also known as The Batch Lady. The pair are coming together for a new six-part series called Buy It, Batch It, Cook It for the commercial network and in partnership with Lidl. Joe and Suzanne will meet families who are in need of advice on how to budget as well as have better organisation in the kitchen with meal planning.

Each family will get a customised menu as per their favourite cuisine and to reduce the amount of time they have to spend in the kitchen cooking. Expressing his excitement for the new show, Joe enthused: “The last few years have seen every one of us juggling so many stresses, not least the rising cost of our food. “Suzanne and I are hoping to give households the tools to not just save the pennies and the pounds, but also have more time to spend on being together as a family.” Suzanne added: “It’s a dream come true to be fronting a cookery TV series on Channel 4.

“When I started The Batch Lady, I never imagined that it would inspire such a following let alone lead to my face on bestselling books and primetime TV. “I’m really excited to work with Joe to change the lives of families around the UK one batch at a time.” Joe made it to the final of Celebrity Masterchef alongside Megan McKenna but the pair lost out to Kadeena Cox who lifted the trophy. After showing off his culinary flare, the former EastEnders actor released a cook book called Joe’s Kitchen, full of lots of recipes and tantalising food. Buy It, Batch It, Cook It will premiere on Channel 4 in January 2025.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
