Privacy NoticeEastEnders star Danielle Harold, who played Lola Pearce for over a decade, looks completely different a year after leaving the show. Following Lola’s departure in June last year, Danielle has teased she’s been taking well-deserved time out and fans have commented that she looks completely different to her last appearance in Walford. In her post, Danielle posted a series of photos by the pool wearing a plunging black bikini in the sunshine with caption: “seeing the world through rose-tinted glasses”. Fans rushed to comment, as one wrote: “You look gorgeous hun miss you in eastenders and hope you come back from the dead”. Another added: “gorgeous. miss you in eastenders!”. Coronation Street’s Daisy Campbell (Amelia Spencer ) wrote: “Stunning”, along with flame emoji. And one fan even joked: “Jay was a lucky fella”.

Danielle’s character, Lola, had an on-off relationship with Jay Brown (played by Jamie Borthwick) for years, but they eventually tied the knot in 2023, a few months after Lola was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Lola and Jay were married for a matter of months before Lola tragically passed away in June 2023 during an incredibly moving episode. Talking to OK! weeks after leaving the soap, Danielle confessed she was unsure of what the future held. “When you’re working so hard, time just seems to fly by and stand still at the same time, you’re in a bubble,” she said. “It’s daunting, but exciting too. It was such a draining and emotional story and I was so physically and mentally exhausted by the end, so when it stopped it was a bit of a shock to the system. “I’m sort of finding myself again at the moment. It’s nice being in a place where I’m not really sure what’s coming up next – it’s the first time in a very long time.”

She’s also set to star in Celebrity Hunted later this year alongside Christine McGuinness, Duncan James, Kimberly Hart-Simpson, Denise Welch, Lincoln Townley, Giovanni Pernice and Kai Widdrington. She’s also lined up to appear in Celebrity MasterChef with the likes of Charlotte Crosby, Chloe Burrows and Vito Coppola.

Danielle is also set to appear in Richard Osmon’s House of Games. Opening up about the new gig, Danielle revealed that she was battling nerves ahead of the shoot – and it’s not the first time that she’s suffered with anxiety. “I always get so anxious when I’m going to film a new show I’ve not done before. That first day at school kind of feeling,” she said in a post. She continued to write: “But I had the best day filming with you guys we laughed a lot. Thank you for a lovely day! What a lovely team and so great to see you again @misterosman he’s the really tall one in the middle [winky face].”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
