Privacy NoticeLove Island is often dismissed as a free holiday for its stars but producers have been making life pretty difficult for some of the cast – and tonight is no different as a brutal twist gets sprung on the remaining couples. As night falls in the villa during tonight’s episode Ciaran gets a text that leaves him gasping: “No way”. He reads it to the assembled Islanders – and one boy is left having to console his partner. The message from Love Island’s producers reads: “Islanders, tonight each couple must vote for the two couples who they think are least compatible, those who receive a vote risk being dumped from the Island. “You must now discuss in your couples who you’re going to choose and then submit your decision by text. You must not discuss your decision with anyone else.”

But before all that there are happier scenes as the Love Island Sports Day rolls around – and Joey tries to make amends with Mimii by presenting her with a bunch of flowers he bought when the boys were let out of the villa to visit the shops. He tells her: “Joey says: “I got you these…I really wanted to do a kind gesture. I want you to know that I am sorry and I don’t want mine or your friendship to end or be sour because I do care about your feelings and I do want you to know that the whole situation is done.” Mimii is taken aback – but will she accept the floral apology?
