Privacy Notice Konnor Ewudzi’s Love Island journey was cut short last week when he was dumped from the ITV2 show alongside his new partner Lolly Hart, with the pair failing to make lasting connections during their time in the villa. And now, the barber has come out as ‘sapiosexual’, something which wasn’t discussed during his time on the show. Appearing on Love Island’s The Morning After podcast, Konnor explained his romantic preferences. “When I went onto the show, they asked me a question, ‘Have you got a type?’ I haven’t got a type,” began Konnor. And when sapiosexuality was suggested, he responded: “Do you know what, I’m sapiosexual, it’s all about the brains. Obviously you have to be attracted to somebody but you have to be attracted to their brains as well.”

To be sapiosexual is to be attracted to intelligent people, or to consider intelligence as the most important trait in a partner. Konnor and Flight Attendant Lolly were dumped from the show in a shock twist when it was revealed the public had been voting for the most compatible couple. Ciaran Davies and Nicole Samuel won the public’s vote, and then had to pick the least compatible couple to leave the show. Following the shock exit, the pair seemed keen to continue getting to know one another romantically outside of the villa. Konnor said after leaving: “My date with Lolly went really well, we have a lot in common. When she mentioned she worked for an airline we realised my godmother and cousin both worked for the same airline and it transpired that she knew both of them which was a lovely coincidence.” Echoing her co-stars feelings, Lolly said: “I felt that Konnor and I had a lot in common so I instantly felt it was easy to talk to him. We are both family people and have similar interests so naturally we’ve gotten closer.

However, things were over before they really began as when they appeared on Love Island: Aftersun just days later, the pair confirmed they just want to “be friends” going forward. Lolly said she and Konnor “didn’t have enough time” for their connection to fully develop, while pointing out that a lot of their time in the villa was spent in challenges with their co-stars. Love Island is set to come to a close on Monday with the grand finale, as one couple will be crowned this season’s winners and take home £50,000.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
