Privacy Notice With the Love Island final just one day away, Joey Essex and Jessy Potts have become the latest couple to be dumped from the ITV2 villa. Having come so close to the final, the couple were dumped from the villa after their former Islanders made a return to the show where they voted for the least compatible couple in a dramatic twist. As all Islanders placed their vote one by one, it was Joey and Jessy who secured the most votes and were therefore named the least compatible duo. As the pair said goodbye to their time on the show, Jessy was left in tears as The Only Way Is Essex star Joey admitted that his journey had been a tough one.

In response to the latest departure, viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their opinions, with many thinking that the right one had been made. “One of the most jarring islanders the show has EVER had, who evers decision it was to bring Joey on I bet they’ve been having sleepless nights #loveisland,” wrote one. “Joey’s finally getting the reality check he needs & im loving every second of it man #loveisland,” another added. Meanwhile, a third wrote: “I think Joey and Jessy might be the most unlikeable couple to have ever been on love island #loveisland”.

However, others were less happy with the decision and expressed their disappointment over the dumping. “As much as Joey is playing the game he’s made this entertaining – so I’d rather Matilda and Sean went #LoveIsland,” one commented. Another wrote: “This #loveisland season is goated. Personally Joey was entertaining. It is reality TV for entertainment! Comprende?”. As a result of Joey and Jessy’s exit, Islanders Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies, Jess Spencer and Ayo Odukoya, Sean Stone and Matilda-June Draper, and Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan secured a place in this series’ final.
Some viewers revealed that they disagreed with the decision, which was made by their former Islanders

With their journey on the show now over, Joey and Jessy will join the likes of former contestant Patsy Field in attempting to navigate life outside of the Love Island villa. Speaking to OK!, Pasty opened up about her time on the show and explained how she felt like she was a “spare part” at points. “It was really hard. When you have a crush on someone you get that excitement and I didn’t have that. There was no spark with anyone that made it like, really exciting,” she said. “But really, I was just in there kind of like a spare part. It was like, ‘Oh, OK, so now What should I do today?’ So it was difficult.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
