The 10 year old has landed a role in the rival soap, Hollyoaks and is set to play Curtis, the son of Grace Black. The youngster has already been spotted filming in Liverpool and is set to break into the soap world at a similar age to his dad, who started playing the role of David Platt in Corrie when he was just 12 years old. Reuben’s debut on the Channel 4 soap is expected to air from 30 September.
The doting father will no doubt be brimming with pride of his son, Reuben following in his acting footsteps

Speaking of the news, a source told The Mirror: “Reuben is a chip off the old block. He’s already impressing on set and his talent is shining through. He’s got a bright future ahead of him.” OK! has contacted Reuben’s representatives for comment. Jack and his former partner Lauren Shippey co-parent their two children, Reuben and daughter Nyla. Though their romantic relationship ended in 2017, they collaboratively manage the 13 Performing Arts School, where Reuben has honed his talents, reports the Daily Star. His debut came five years ago in an HSL furniture commercial, setting the stage for his budding career. Meanwhile, proud dad Jack, 36, recently got engaged to Hanni Treweek after proposing during a safari getaway in Tanzania.

Sharing the news to social media, Hanni shared a stunning selfie of the couple and wrote: “05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!” as stars such as Michelle Keegan shared their congratulations. The Fool Me Once actress wrote: “Awww congratulations to you both”, while co-star Alan Halsall said: “Congratulations to the pair of you xx.” Actress Julia Goulding commented: “Such beautiful news! Congratulations to you both, absolutely perfect couple.” And co-star Samia Longchambon gushed: “Ahhh amazing news guys! Huge congratulations.” Love bloomed between the two with Hanni having previously worked in publicity for Coronation Street. As for Hollyoaks, expect the temperature to rise this summer with jaw-dropping storylines designed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

TV ratings seem to be on the rise this year, with figures up 21% compared to last year as of July, and a noticeable 8% increase in viewers aged between 16-34. The beloved soap is now under the helm of executive producer Hannah Cheers, who’s gearing up to revamp the show’s schedule later this year.
