Privacy NoticeOver the last seven weeks, Love Island has given us plenty of dramatic moments, shock recouplings and savage dumpings, and in tonight’s finale, one couple were crowned the winners. As host Maya Jama whittled it down to just Josh and Mimii, and Ciaran and Nicole, the newly-single host revealed the winners were Josh and Mimii. The pair were left shocked by the announcement as they were hugged by their fellow finalists in the closing moment of the show. As they tuned into the nail-biting finale, fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their reactions as some fans claimed the show was a “fix”. One X user expressed: “Happy for Mimii and Josh but no way in hell did they deserve it over Ciaran and Nicole lol. Oh well. F**k Joey Essex #LoveIsland.” (sic) Another person penned: “I could have bet my life saving that Ciaran and Nicole were gonna win #loveIsland.”

ITV2 announced back in May: “Love Island fans are in for another All Star 2025, as Love Island All Stars returns to ITV2 and ITVX for a second series next year, celebrating a decade of the nation’s most popular dating show. “Offering some of the show’s most memorable singletons from across its eleven series history a second chance at love, the series will return to its all star home in South Africa.” Mike Spencer, Creative Director at Lifed Entertainment said “What a perfect way to celebrate a decade of Love Island, by bringing back another all star class of Islanders for what will I’m sure be another vintage year of romance, drama and relationships.”

Love Island’s very first All Stars series aired earlier this year and saw Molly Smith and Tom Clare become the champions. Despite their five-year age-gap and Molly being met with her ex Callum Jones in the villa, the two went all the way and have been going from strength to strength since coming out. They aren’t the only ones as third-place contestants Josh Ritchie and Sophie Piper are also still together after entering the villa for a second time.
