However, the former Strictly Come Dancing professional could be gearing up for a payout in the region of £100,000, as he is reportedly set to star on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! later this year, which airs at the same time as BBC’s Strictly. A source at ITV told MailOnline: “As long as those at the top are satisfied that Giovanni isn’t a bully and didn’t behave inappropriately during Strictly, they will be signing him up. They are very aware of how much Strictly viewers will miss him, he’s a true fans’ favourite, so they hope he will draw in big audiences.

“Just imagine him on I’m A Celeb, he would be a favourite to win and they know he would be very good value in the jungle. He would bring a huge fan base with him. He appeals to people of all ages which is a godsend for any broadcaster.” During the last series of Strictly, Giovanni was partnered with Amanda, who left the show and has since accused Giovanni of bullying during their training sessions. While Giovanni has adamantly denied any allegations of wrongdoing. Amanda has also explained that she is not the only person to have come forward about misconduct, citing that there are ‘5 or 6’ others. And over the weekend, Laura Whitmore confirmed that she has spoken with the BBC regarding behaviour she experienced during her time on the show back in 2016, when she was partnered with Giovanni.

However, she confirmed that she had not issued an “official complaint”. In a statement, posted to her Instagram story on Saturday, 27 July, 39 year old Laura wrote: “I was asked to speak to the BBC along with six people that I know of (who deserve anonymity as they don’t want to be dragged through the press), about inappropriate behaviour they experienced similar to mine with the same individual. I initially raised concerns back in 2016. “I thought my experience was specific to me but I’ve since learned I was wrong.” The former Love Island host continued: “The aim of this is to show a pattern of behaviour that I believe needs to stop. My evidence is to support other people’s experience. It’s a shame it takes this for someone to be heard. I am not looking for anything just an acceptance that what happened to me in the rehearsal rooms during my time on BBC Strictly was wrong and that it won’t happen to anyone else again.

“Because I have not made an official complaint, and am providing evidence of my experience to support the investigation, not all the communication will be passed on to all parties involved.” Adding to this, the TV presenter added: “Misinformation is being put into the press so I want to set the record straight. “Victim blaming must stop or we will never get better. I’ve tried to speak up in the correct way.
