The 34 year old comedian gave birth last month to her first child with partner Alistair Garner, and he features in her latest post, alongside cute baby Barney and Emily’s mum, actress and singer Kate Robbins. Captioning the post: “Brb, still in the Barney bubble,” Emily shared photos of her cradling her newborn, her mum smiling and holding Barney, Alistair holding his son and a cute photo of Barney’s pram with only one of his legs sticking out. Emily, who will next be seen on screen in the TV adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s bestselling novel Riders, alongside David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Danny Dyer and Katherine Parkinson, has been documenting her pregnancy on social media, beginning with her announcement in December 2023 that she was expecting a baby. At the time she wrote: “I’m delighted to share with you all that we’re having a baby!! I’ve never been so happy and utterly terrified at the same time. Please go easy on me. Every day is mixed with thrill, fear, joy, hysteria, topped off with a lot of vomiting – a bit like when you’ve stepped off the Oblivion at Alton Towers on a hangover.”

“I’ve got to know my body on such an insane level,” she continued. “It’s made me appreciate the one I’ve been given SO much, I’m doing my absolute best to make it a home for the little squid I’m growing. We can already sense the baby is reclined on a mattress of peanut butter and jam sandwiches in there, demanding more chocolate buttons.” On 20 June, Emily announced Barney’s arrival with a photo of her, Alistair and their son, along with the words “All my dreams have come true.”

Her most recent post has been loved by hundreds of her followers and friends, including Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, who wrote: “It’s the little leg for me,” about the photo of Barney’s pram, and Cat Deeley, who posted: “Beyond gorgeous!!! Live in the bubble, wear PJ’s and enjoy every moment.” Pixie Lott, Stacey Dooley and Nadia Sawahla were among the other celebrities to send their best wishes, while fans were quick to add their congratulations, too. “You’ve never looked so beautiful, and you always do! Enjoy every brand new moment, every first,” wrote one fan, while another added: “Congratulations beautiful. You are radiant.
