Privacy NoticeThe BBC’s flagship entertainment show Strictly Come Dancing rocked by scandal in recent weeks, with the departures of pro dancers Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima after accusations regarding their behaviour towards their celebrity partners. However, it looks like the show plans to put those headlines behind it as it reaches its landmark 20 th series in September, with a leaked document revealing the list of big-hitter celebrities the show has signed up. And with names including an Emmy award winning actress, a Premier League legend and even one of the scandal-hit Giovanni’s ex-girlfriends, it looks like it could be a stellar year for the show. Here is the reported celebrity line-up for Strictly Come Dancing 2024…
Tashs may be walking onto the dance floor her ex has just left

Tasha Ghouri Giovanni’s ex and a former Love Island star, who dated the dancing star before she appeared on appeared on the dating show in 2022, is top of the list. Tasha is also a trained dancer and disability campaigner. She was born deaf and was fitted with cochlear implants aged five. She has since worked as a model with brands including ASOS and Ann Summer.
Hannah would bring true star appeal to Strictly

Hannah Waddingham The star of Ted Lasso was branded a ‘national treasure’ following her success in one of the BBC’s other entertainment extravaganzas – the Eurovision Song Contest when she presented the show from Liverpool last year. A star of West End and Broadway, Hannah definitely has the credentials to be a great success on the show. Meanwhile, with an Emmy Award under her belt which she won in 2021 for her role as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso, she’s a truly international star signing for Strictly. The actress, who has just turned 50, is friends with judge Anton Du Beke and his wife Hannah – and according to reports was first approached by producers earlier this year.
Pete has pals who have done the show before

Pete Wicks He may be close pals with Zara McDermott , who claimed she was physically and verbally abused by her professional dance partner Graziano Di Prima last year, but that hasn’t stopped TOWIE star Peter pulling on his dancing shoes. Pete is no stranger to reality shows, having appeared on Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and The Real Full Monty. While insiders report that Pete “isn’t much of a dancer” accruing to The Sun, producers hope that he will attract younger viewers who have followed him since TOWIE.
Let’s hope Strictly isn’t an own goal for Paul

Paul Merson Former Arsenal player and Sky Sport’s pundit Paul, 56, is this year’s big sports signing on the show. The athlete played for Arsenal between 1985 and 1997, represented England and eared 21 caps for his country. Meanwhile, with his years spent battling addiction, he brings with him a strong story which could tug on viewers heartstrings.
Could Nick knock himself up a Strictly win?

Nick Knowles The DIY SOS presenter has certainly been a popular TV face for many years and is bound to be a welcome addition to the show. The star has reported been in talks for months and ‘willing to give anything a crack’ according to sources. While little is known his dancing skills, he did shake a leg while attending a rugby match with pal Ben Shephard back in March, with his Instagram post in March leading one fan to ask whether a Strictly stint was on the horizon.
Shobna may be a dance floor natural
Shobna Gulati The one-time Corrie star is said to be in the frame for the show and having starred in musicals including Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, the 57-year-old could be one of this year’s surprise hits.
Shona is looking for a change of mood

Shona McGarty Another ex-soap star, talented Shona has shown of her performing skills on many musical sketches on Children In Need alongside her EastEnders’ co-stars. After 16 years of playing troubled Whitney Dean, reports are that Shona wants to show off her lighter side with a stint on the show.
Sarah could bring some giggles to Strictly

Blue’s Duncan James could make his fans happy

Duncan James Two of Duncan’s Blue bandmates have previous tackled Strictly, with Simon Webbe and Lee Ryan both hitting the dancefloor. With his performing background on pop and musicals, and his good looks, Duncan could be a real contender.
Could Kia be just what the doctor ordered for Strictly

Kia Pegg Another soaps star on the list is Doctor’s star Kia. With the series finishing filming this year, and Kia’s award-winning role as Scarlett winding up, now is the perfect time for her to spread her wings. As well as Doctors viewers, she also brings another generation of fans from her role on CBBC’s Tracy Beaker Returns.
Pearl could be out of this world in the competition

Pearl Mackie As a former star of Doctor Who, Pearl is bound to bring a while galaxy of Whovians with her. Away from the Tardis, the actress has also appeared in shows including The Diplomat and Tom Jones.
Chris is staying tight-lipped on his Strictly Come Dancing prospects

Chris McCausland he comedian, who lost his sight as a teenager, failed to deny he was joining the show when asked about it in an interview recently according to the Mail. “I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he replied to the question
Laura will be hoping to speed to victory

Dame Laura Kenny The former British professional track and road cyclist specialised in track endurance events during her stellar career, she should be a natural when it comes to Strictly gruelling training sessions. She may be an Olympic gold medal winner, but lifting the Strictly trophy could be a whole new challenge.
Will Tyger be wild on the dancefloor?

Tyger Drew-Honey Spending almost a decade in hit sitcom Outnumbered, Tyger is a familiar face to TV viewers. Since, he has appeared on TV in shows including The Armstrong and Miller show and on the big screen in Horrid Henry: The Movie.
Janet doesn’t seem to think she currently has the hip action
