McDonald’s are adding triple cheeseburgers to their saver menu, starting next week. This means that from Wednesday 2 September the fast food brand will be adding the whopping creation to their permanent menu for the bargain price of £2.19.

You can sign up at the top of the page Therefore, for just over two quid, you’ll be able to chow down on three 100% British and Irish beef patties sandwiched inside a softly toasted bun and crammed full of pickles, mustard, onion and, obviously, golden and gooey melted cheese. If you love cheese burgers already this will having you drooling all the way to your local branch.

The creation has been thoroughly taste tested after it was trialled up in Yorkshire in 60 restaurants back in February. One fan on social media dubbed it a “game changer” while another admitted it was the “best burger ever.” The fast food chain released a statement saying: “Following a successful trial period earlier this year, the Triple Cheeseburger will now officially join the Saver Menu as a permanent addition from Wednesday 2 September.”

Last month McDonald’s revealed that they were cutting the prices on some of their meals. The reason for the cheaper menu is that chancellor Rishi Sunak announced in parliament that the VAT on food in restaurants, cafes and bars will be reduced from 20% to 5% from 15 July up until January to help the hospitality industry. Customers are now able to enjoy a 40p reduction on Extra Value Meals and get 30p off of Happy Meals.

And it will certainly help diners because delicious McMuffins now cost 30p less while breakfast meals save you a whopping 50p. The cuts also refer to your morning coffee, otherwise know as life fuel, as black and white coffee is now cost just 99p down from £1.39.
