Privacy NoticeThe pink gin hype isn’t going away and time soon – and nor would we want it to! Celebrity fans of the pretty pink liquor include Philip Schofield and Amanda Holden, and even some of this year’s Love Island contestants have been spotted with a drink of the pink in hand while chilling at the villa. Now, one of the nation’s favourite pink gin brands, Gordon’s, has branched out to launch a brand-new Premium Pink cake based on the popular booze flavour we just can’t get enough of these days. And how tempting does this look? Cake and gin in one delicious mouthful? We think we might have died and gone to heaven. Taking inspiration from the hugely popular ombre trend, this gloriously Insta-worthy cake needs no baking on your part and comes all ready to take picnic parties and birthdays by storm this summer.
Slice of pink gin cake anyone? Go on then.

Available in ASDA stores and online from 25th July (RRP £12), this succulent layer cake comprises pink and white sponge, raspberry jam filling and is topped with Gordon’s Premium Pink flavoured frosting, edible pearlescent sugar pearls and dried raspberries. The brand-new cake marks the first time Gordon’s has branched into the bakery world, making it the first official “pink gin” cake on the market. In our book it’s the perfect centrepiece for any occasion this summer.
Pink gin and cake – two of our very favourite things in one delicious mouthful.
The Premium Pink cake is Gordon’s first foray into the world of creating delicious cakes. A spokesperson told OK!: “At Gordon’s we work hard to challenge the industry, stay ahead of the curve and set the trends when it comes to our special Distilled Collection. “We invest heavily in product innovation and following the hugely successful launch of our Premium Pink Gin in 2017, we wanted to create something really different and special for our customers. There was no better choice than partnering with Finsbury to make our cake dreams a reality.”

Emma Hamilton, of leading cake manufacturer, Finsbury Food Group, said: “At Finsbury we are always looking for ways to bring innovation into the cake category, and excite the public with the launch of new products that they’ve never seen before. “We know gin lovers will want to snap this up, but we’ve made sure that there’s enough beautiful flavours and toppings to delight those who aren’t as partial to gin too! We can’t wait to see people enjoying the Premium Pink cake as it lands this summer.”
