Bobby, who is best known for playing Freddie Slater in EastEnders, was runner-up in last year’s Strictly Come Dancing with professional partner Dianne Buswell. The actor, who won a Best Newcomer National Television Award for his role as Freddie, recently took to the football field for Soccer Aid 2024, alongside a host of former professional football players and celebrities raising money for Unicef. It was Bobby’s dad, Jeff Brazier, who helped him with training in the run up to the high profile match.

“I think my dad is even more excited than I am,” Bobby said before the game. “He’s on me to get training and get into peak fitness for the match. We went to the gym recently and he put me through a tough session,” he added. “My dad is a good footballer, he always coached my teams growing up and we always developed as a team.” Bobby has also been filming a new role in a TV series called Curfew, for Paramount+, that is due to be streamed in November. Filmed in London earlier this year, it is based on Jayne Cowie’s novel After Dark, and is set in a society governed by ‘The Women’s Safety Act’, where men are all tracked by ankle tags and are confined to their homes by a strict 7pm curfew every night. When a woman is found brutally murdered during the curfew hours, veteran police officer Pamela Green believes a man must be responsible, but if that is the case, her investigation could threaten the curfew itself – and there are powerful people who will do whatever it takes to make sure that does not happen. Sarah Parish stars as Pamela, while Bobby Brazier plays James, a vocal schoolboy who advocates the abolishment of the curfew.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
