Taking to his Instagram story on Friday, 2 August, Hugo, 24, said: “Just to let everyone know Jess and I agreed to go our separate ways after the final in Majorca. I’m hoping we can still be friends as we had a great experience together, she’s a lovely girl and I wish her all the best.” Jess, 25, has not spoken out about the split yet. She got together with Hugo during the Casa Amor twist on Love Island, choosing to take him back to the main villa with her.

Jess and Hugo attended the Love Island final in Mallorca together on Monday, 29 July, but it looks like things quickly fizzled out for the couple. On Wednesday evening, Hugo attended the National Reality TV Awards without Jess, instead joining other Islanders Munveer Jabbal at the event. At the afterparty, Hugo was seen snogging Charlotte Sumner, 31, who had a brief stint on Love Island series 10. Charlotte was only in the villa for four days. Reports claimed Hugo and Charlotte “could not keep their hands off each other” at the awards bash, where Love Island picked up the award for Best Entertainment Show. “Hugo and Charlotte could not keep their hands off each other all night,” an onlooker at the after party spilled to The Sun. “It was clear that they only had eyes for each other and didn’t care who was watching as they enjoyed a slew of snogs on the dancefloor.”

The onlooker then claimed that the pair “found a quiet corner” of the packed bar to have another passionate kiss. They added: “It made it pretty obvious that Hugo and Jess are very much over but she is still bound to be stunned to see he has moved on so quickly.” Hugo’s kiss with Charlotte came after he and Jess took part in a joint interview together, where they told OK! that they were still seeing each other. Hugo said: “We’re just going at our own pace.” Jess was part of the original line-up on this year’s Love Island, but struggled to find a connection until entering Casa Amor.
